UW-Eau Claire Springfest to Include
First Pimp My Bike Competition

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's first Pimp My Bike competition will be presented as part of Springfest, the annual campus celebration of music and spring that will take place May 5-9.

Students are invited to submit a photo and short story that will convince the competition sponsors, Eau Claire Bike & Sport and the University Activities Commission of the Student Senate, that their bicycle deserves a makeover tailored to the personality of its owner.

The winner will receive a free spring tune-up and a $25 gift certificate provided by Eau Claire Bike & Sport, 403 Water St.

Competition entries should include contact information (name, telephone number, e-mail address) and may be submitted during Springfest concerts from noon to 1 p.m. May 5-7 on the Central Campus Mall. Entries also may be dropped off at the Activities and Programs office, Davies Center 133, no later than 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 7.

One winner will be notified Thursday, May 8.

The winner will be announced at noon Friday, May 9, at the start of the Springfest concert by Minneapolis rock band Ada Jane on the Central Campus Mall.
