The Homecoming parade will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Grand and First Avenues, proceeding south to Water Street, turning down Water Street and ending at Second Avenue. The UW-Eau Claire Blugold Marching Band, conducted by associate professor of music Randy Dickerson, will lead the parade that includes floats and non-musical marching units. High school bands will perform and compete along the parade route. LaNette Flunker, senior lecturer of management and marketing and winner of the 2007 Excellence in Teaching Award, will be grand marshal.

After the parade, shuttle buses will take football game fans to Carson Park beginning at 11 a.m. from the corner of Second Avenue and Water Street, Fifth Avenue and Water Street, and Towers Hall. The Fifth Quarter, a free post-game party hosted by the UW-Eau Claire Alumni Association, will follow the game. The Blugold Marching Band will lead fans to the tent below the stadium for a gathering including great music by the band Home-Grown Tomatoes, prizes, temping snacks, beverages from Leinenkugel's and lots of Blugold fun and camaraderie.

Homecoming competitions will culminate with the annual Adopt-a-Block neighborhood clean up on Sunday afternoon. Student teams will spread out over the Historic Randall Park Neighborhood to pick up trash left from the weekend's festivities.
