EAU CLAIRE — Lisa Cooper-Murphy recently took over as coordinator of the Women's and Gender Equity Center for the 2007-08 academic year at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Cooper-Murphy, who is currently working toward a master's degree in English and previously earned a bachelor's degree in English literature with a minor in Women's studies from UW-Eau Claire, has been active in women's issues in the past. "I am pleased to have someone with Ms. Cooper-Murphy's enthusiasm for women's issues and gender equity join the Student Development and Diversity team," said Dr. Kimberly Barrett, associate vice chancellor for Student Development and Diversity."She has hit the ground running, putting together an engaging slate of programs for the semester."
