EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Earth Science Seminar Series for fall 2007 is under way. The series begins Friday, Sept. 14 with a presentation by St. Cloud State University's Dr. Kate Pound, professor of earth and atmospheric sciences. She will examine teaching and learning methods in her session, "From Beads and Beakers to Walther's Law: Tabletop Transgressions and Regressions-Hands-on, Inquiry-Based Learning for Undergraduates."
The series will continue throughout the fall semester. Unless otherwise noted, the presentations will be held at 4 p.m. on selected Fridays in Room 281 of Phillips Science Hall. Refreshments will be provided. The presentations are free and community members are welcome.
