EAU CLAIRE — An Organic Food Forum and Dinner will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Environmental Adventure Center in the basement of the Hilltop Recreation Center on upper campus.
The forum and dinner, which will present the many reasons to "go organic" and buy as much as possible from local growers, is a collaborative event sponsored by the EAC, Sodexho Food Service, Just Local Food, and the Foodlums, a campus food club. Representatives from several of these organizations will speak from 6 to 6:30 p.m. during a pre-dinner program, sharing their views on the grassroots organic revolution. A buffet dinner featuring locally grown and organic foods will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m. The menu is as follows:
The dinner will be limited to 45 participants, so early registration is recommended. Cost is $10 per person. Register by phone with a credit card or in person in the EAC during normal hours of operation (Monday 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday 1-5 p.m., Friday 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and Sunday noon-4 p.m.).
