EAU CLAIRE — A "Turkey Toss" on Monday, Nov. 12, will kick off the University Bookstore's sale on Champion fleece clothing at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Students who hit a bull's-eye with a frozen "miniature turkey" will win a chance to receive one of five Champion sweatshirts.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Central Campus Mall. No entry fee or registration is required, and the contest is open to everyone.
The object of the game is to toss, underhand, a frozen "miniature turkey" (cornish game hen) onto a bull's-eye. The frozen bird must come to a rest on the bull's-eye to qualify.
Contestants may make three attempts. If they fail to land a bull's-eye, they may return to the end of the line and make another three attempts. The process may be repeated until a bull's-eye is landed. Contestants who successfully hit the target will receive a raffle form (one drawing entry per person).
Raffle forms must be completed and turned in to the University Bookstore by 5 p.m. Monday. The drawing for the five Champion sweatshirts will be held in the bookstore Tuesday, Nov. 13, between 10 and 11 a.m.
Champion fleece clothing will be on sale Nov. 12-24 at the University Bookstore, priced at 25 percent off.
Located on the lower level of Davies Center, the University Bookstore is open Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. More information is available online.
