RELEASED: Oct. 29, 2007
EAU CLAIRE — Four students from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire forensics team competed in the Minnesota River Swing Tournament and placed fifth in team sweepstakes on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Minnesota State University Mankato and took several individual sweeps on Sunday, Oct. 21, at Gustavus Adolphus College.
Following are the individual results for Oct. 20:
Junior Eric Plantenberg, Monroe, placed third in prose. He also took third in duo interpretation with junior Justin Rudnick, Stanley, qualifying for the National Forensics Association Tournament.
Rudnick also qualified for NFA by taking fourth place in prose. He also placed sixth in informative speaking.
Sophomore Emily Schreiner, Wausau, placed seventh in persuasive speaking, qualifying for NFA.
Following are the individual results for Oct. 21:
Rudnick placed second in informative speaking and fifth in communication analysis.
Schreiner placed sixth in informative speaking.
