EAU CLAIRE — The Indianhead Honors Band and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Wind Symphony, conducted by Richard Mark Heidel, associate professor of music, will join in a concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, in Gantner Concert Hall.
The Wind Symphony will open with "Exultate" by Samuel Hazo, followed by a performance of Edward Gregson's Tuba Concerto, featuring Dr. Jerry Young, professor of music, on tuba. The ensemble will also perform "Gloriosa" by Yasuhide Ito.
The Indianhead Honors Band will follow with performances of "Amparito Roca" by Jamie Texidor and "Old Churches" by Michael Colgrass. Next will be a performance of "Introduction and Dance" by J.E. Barat, featuring Jerry Young on tuba. The Honors Band will conclude with "The Eighth Candle" by Steve Reisteter and "Amber Waves of Grain" by James Curnow.
