Chippewa Valley Youth Symphony
to Perform Music Classics Oct. 21

Chippewa Valley Youth Symphony logoEAU CLAIRE — The Chippewa Valley Youth Symphony will open its 2007-08 season with "A Sampling of Music Classics" at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at the State Theatre.

Under the direction of Eugene Power, this concert will feature the Overture from Mozart's "The Magic Flute," ballet music from Verdi's opera "Aida," the "Valse Triste" by Jean Sibelius, "Hungarian Dance No. 5" by Brahms, "The Great Gate of Kiev" by Modest Mussorgsky and "Finlandia" by Sibelius.
