EAU CLAIRE — Chancellor Brian Levin-Stankevich has declared October to be Disability Awareness Month at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Events on campus include the following:
The Office of Disability Employment Policy of the U.S. Department of Labor has declared October to be National Disability Employment Awareness Month. This year's theme is "Workers with Disabilities: Talent for a Winning Team," which was designed to draw attention to the millions of Americans with disabilities who, according to Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao, "are an underutilized reservoir of ambition, talent and skill ready to make great contributions in the workplace."
