The Buffali to Perform Free Concerts
at UW-Eau Claire Dec. 7-8

RELEASED: Nov. 30, 2007

EAU CLAIRE — The Buffali will play three free concerts at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Dec. 7-8, with performances Friday at 11:30 a.m. and 8 p.m., and Saturday at 8 p.m. in The Cabin, the Davies Center coffeehouse.

The Buffali is a bombastic acoustic indie-pop duo featuring Clare Fehsenfeld on vocals and acoustic guitar and Andrew Yonda on vocals and acoustic bass guitar. Featuring quirky vocal interplay and catchy melodies, the irreverent girl/guy outfit romps through material about everything from heartbreak to alien abduction. Their songwriting incorporates influences ranging from The Beatles to Tenacious D, with a healthy dose of country and blues thrown in. The duo brings an infectious glee to their live show, combining originals with an eclectic mix of covers from hip-hop to oldies.

The Madison arts paper Coreweekly wrote that the "adorable twee-folk duo ... runs the gamut from childishly silly to downright gorgeous — oftentimes within the same song."

Cabin performances are free and open to all ages. Soft drinks, domestic and imported beer, specialty coffee drinks, and tea are sold at all evening programs. Proof of age is required for alcohol purchases. For a complete schedule, contact the Activities and Programs office, 715-836-4833, or visit the Cabin Web site.
