Dress as Children's Book Characters
for Children's Book Week Celebration

RELEASED: Nov. 7, 2007

EAU CLAIRE — In honor of Children's Book Week, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire McIntyre Library and Reading Partners are hosting a "Come as Your Favorite Children's Book Character Celebration" from 6 to7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, in the Instructional Media Center for Reading Partners' families and the general public.

Participants who dress as their favorite character will be entered for a chance to win prizes, including passes to the Children's Museum of Eau Claire. The event will include games, activities, movies, treats and books.

Free parking is available in the large parking lot behind Davies Center (please follow parking guidelines).

Since 1919, educators, librarians, booksellers and families have celebrated Children's Book Week during the week before Thanksgiving. Children's books and the love of reading are celebrated with storytelling, parties, author and illustrator appearances, and other book related events.
