EAU CLAIRE — The American Marketing Association at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire donated $4,000 to the Special Olympics. AMA raised the money at their 25th annual Fun Run held on April 28.
With over 250 runners this year's Fun Run more than doubled the success of last year's run. AMA is now classified as an official Gold Sponsor of Special Olympics. They will be a sponsor of all Special Olympics competition and training events, the DuRunRun and the Law Enforcement Fire Truck Pull and Rescue Relay.
"President Kim Olsen, and all AMA members deserve a tip of the hat for a job well done," said Dr. Chuck Tomkovick, professor of marketing
AMA is a student-run, professional business organization with approximately 100 members. Their aim is to provide members with continual knowledge, motivation and leadership skills through their meetings, community service opportunities and other events. AMA was voted best organization on campus in Spring 2006 and 2007.
