Chancellor Announces Administrative
Changes at UW-Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE — Current University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire administrators will be assigned new responsibilities to fulfill the duties previously handled by the special assistant to the chancellor and president of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation, Chancellor Brian Levin-Stankevich announced May 10.
"We have in place a talented team of professionals who have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the duties currently assigned to this position," Levin-Stankevich said. "I have asked these very able people to take on additional responsibilities, and I am confident they will serve the university well in their expanded roles."
The reassignment of duties was in response to Carole Halberg's announcement that she is leaving her position as special assistant to the chancellor and president of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation to accept a job at a hospital in Madison.
Specific changes announced by Levin-Stankevich include:
- The Executive Committee of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation approved a proposal to have Kimera Way assume the responsibilities of Foundation president, though her title will remain executive director of development. The Foundation's board of directors will consider a proposal in October to change the title of president to executive director and elect Way to the newly formed office of executive director. Way will be responsible for the planning, management and conduct of the university's development efforts and the Foundation.
- Mike Rindo will serve as special assistant to the chancellor and executive director of University Communications. Rindo, who has led University Communications since 2001, will assume a majority of the special assistant duties. He also will supervise the Alumni Office.
- Mary Jane Brukardt, special assistant to the chancellor for strategic planning, will assume additional duties such as speechwriting that had previously been assigned to the special assistant.
