UW-Eau Claire to Offer Seminar on
Enhancing Advertising Effectiveness

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Small Business Development Center and the Office of Continuing Education will offer "Getting BIG Results with Small Ad Budgets" from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, at the Plaza Hotel & Suites. This session is planned for service firms, retailers, consumer product manufacturers, non-profit organizations, and small business owners.

Dr. Chuck Tomkovick, professor of management and marketing at UW-Eau Claire, is the instructor. His advertising research has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Times, Advertising Age, Adweek, Fortune, Forbes and many other national media outlets including broadcast affiliates of CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, WGN, and National Public Radio.

Course highlights include: target market selection, defining promotional objectives, setting promotional budgets, developing media plans, using creative strategy, and evaluating promotional effectiveness. Participants will learn the latest promotional techniques, how to stretch ad budgets, and how to communicate better with customers.

The cost to attend is $159 per person and includes instruction, materials, refreshments, lunch, and Continuing Education Units.
