Annual Hmong Community Banquet
Set for March 28 at UW-Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE — The 18th Annual Hmong Community Fellowship Banquet, "Community Alliance," will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, in the Council Fire Room of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Davies Center.

Sponsoring the event is the Eau Claire Hmong Mutual Assistance Association and co-sponsoring is the UW-Eau Claire Office of Multicultural Affairs.

"The goal of the event is to promote diversity, increase awareness of Hmong culture and presence in Eau Claire, strengthen community relationships, have warm social time and delicious Hmong food," said Charles Vue, associate director of the Multicultural Affairs Office and planning committee member for the event.

The event includes a dinner with Hmong dishes, Hmong community updates, a traditional dance performance and Hmong artifacts display.

The event is free and open to the public. Donations are welcomed. Reservations are requested before March 20 to the Hmong Mutual Assistance Association at 423 Wisconsin St., Eau Claire, Wis., 54703, or call 715-832-8420.
