EAU CLAIRE — Three artists from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in Sichuan, China, will share their interests and expertise with people in the Chippewa Valley through a series of free lectures and demonstrations March 13-15. The artists are visiting the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in conjunction with an exhibition of photographic works by art faculty and students at the Sichuan Institute now on display at the UW-Eau Claire's Foster Gallery in the Haas Fine Arts Center. The exhibit runs through March 15.
Jian Luo, assistant professor of art at UW-Eau Claire and curator of the exhibit, wants community members to know they are very welcome to attend these lectures and demonstrations.
"The goal of this exhibit is to increase awareness about Chinese culture, art and society," said Luo, "and we want people all over the community to know this is not just for our students."
