EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Sigma Theta Tau, and Continuing Education/UW-Extension will present "Research into Practice, 22nd Annual Kaleidoscope of Nursing Scholarship" on April 27 on the UW-Eau Claire campus.
The program begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at 3:30 p.m. Poster presentations will be held in the Council Fire Rooms in Davies Center from 10:30-11:10 a.m. Delta Phi Chapter Sigma Theta Tau will host a reception at 4 p.m.
Keynote speaker Dr. Karen Solheim will present "Evidence-Based Practice in Global Health." Solheim has experience working in Thailand, Cambodia, Somalia, and India. In response to Hurricane Katrina, she served as a team leader for the American Refugee Committee as they participated in primary care delivery in Louisiana. Nurses from all practice areas will find new evidence-based ideas. Presentations or posters on other topics include mental health issues, family practice, and the effectiveness of certain educational models.
The program fee is $60 for professionals and $30 for current UW-Eau Claire graduate nursing students and includes morning refreshments, lunch and a book of abstracts. Participants may earn 4.5 contact hours.
