International Women Students to Discuss
Women's Issues at UW-Eau Claire

RELEASED: March 2, 2007

EAU CLAIRE — The Center for International Education at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will host the "International Women's Day Panel Discussion" from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 8, in the Presidents Room of Davies Center.

UW-Eau Claire international students from countries such as Algeria and Bolivia will share opinions about important issues affecting women's equality or women's rights in their home countries, discuss some of the attitudes, beliefs or behaviors of U.S. women that have shocked, surprised or pleased them during their time studying in the United States, and discuss how those behaviors differ from their own cultural norms.

This event is free and open to everyone. Participants should feel free to bring a lunch and questions for the panel.
