Tanya Schmidt of Boyceville Receives First
Hannah M. Greenhill Scholarship at UW-Eau Claire

RELEASED: July 23, 2007

EAU CLAIRE — Tanya Schmidt, Boyceville, has been awarded the first Hannah M. Greenhill Scholarship to attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for the 2007-08 academic year. She is the daughter of Lyndon and Melody Schmidt.

This scholarship is awarded to a freshman attending UW-Eau Claire who graduated from a high school in Barron or Dunn County, was in the top quartile of his or her graduating class and has financial need. If the student maintains a B+ average, the scholarship is renewable for the sophomore year.

The scholarship was established by Hannah Greenhill '58, a UW-Eau Claire alumna who taught kindergarten in Whitewater for many years, and her husband, Gaylon Greenhill, who is a chancellor emeritus of UW-Whitewater.
