UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education
to Introduce Personal Enrichment Series

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension introduces new non-credit Personal Enrichment Courses designed for adults interested in learning a new skill, exploring a topic in-depth, or developing creative abilities. The programs are taught by UW-Eau Claire faculty and staff who are committed to sharing their knowledge and expertise. The courses begin with the "Enhance Your Everyday Life" series. Unless noted, all programs will be held at the Human Sciences & Services building, 239 Water Street, on the UW-Eau Claire campus.
- "Explorations in Biblical Archaeology," taught by Dr. Harry Jol, professor of geography and anthropology, will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept.18 through Oct. 9.
- "Wilderness Navigation: Finding Your Way in Remote Areas," taught by Al Wiberg, program manager for the Environmental Adventure Center at UW-Eau Claire,will be held 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Beaver Creek Reserve in Fall Creek.
- "An Introduction to Writing and Publishing for Children," taught by Dr. Jack Bushnell, award-winning children's author and professor of English, will be held 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27.
- "Parent Strategies to Help Raise Strong Girls and Women," taught by Dr. Maureen Mack, professor of education and women's studies, will be held 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10.
The cost for each program is $95. Adults may register one youth ages 14-17 for "Wilderness Navigation" for an additional $15. Enrollment in each course is limited, so early registration is recommended.
