EAU CLAIRE — Nicholas Laursen, Savage, Minn., has been awarded a Carl and Eloise Pohlad Scholarship for the 2007-08 academic year. Laursen will begin his studies at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire this fall.
The scholarship, funded through the UW-Eau Claire Foundation, is given to an incoming full-time freshman from Minnesota who intends to major in accounting and work in the profession after graduation. Recipients are chosen on the basis of academic achievement, class rank and entrance examination test scores.
Laursen is the son of Dan and Darlene Laursen.
