EAU CLAIRE — The Women's and Gender Equity Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will sponsor a panel discussion on "White Male Privilege" at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, in the Arrowhead Room of Davies Center.
The purpose of the discussion is to establish a dialogue about what white male privilege is, how we know it exists, and why it is important to recognize. Three panelists — English professor Dr. Martin Wood and students Aaron Brewster and Phil Kaveny — will share their own perspectives as white males and explain how they believe this privilege affects their lives.
The discussion is free and open to the public.
