Annual Senior Americans' Day Program
Set for March 20 at UW-Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE — The 19th Annual Senior Americans' Day program will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, in Davies Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The theme this year is "Live Now . . . Age Later."

The program features keynote speaker Jane Kirkpatrick, award winning author, presenter and mental health professional noted for her blend of humor and story. Her keynote address is titled "Hardiness and Hope" and focuses on commitment, control, challenge and coping.

The event also will offer nearly 50 workshops on topics ranging from computers to healthcare, crafts to spirituality, financial and estate planning, books, dance and art. This year's entertainment features Charlie and Jayne Plumer, husband and wife entertainers with a musical comedy act that takes a close look at the various stages of a relationship, love and marriage.

The cost of the program is $26 per person and includes materials, continental breakfast and lunch. Several breakout session choices have an additional material fee.

Senior Americans' Day is sponsored by UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension in cooperation with AARP Wisconsin, AgeAdvantAge, Inc., Grace Lutheran Foundation, Inc., St. Francis Apartments, Chippewa Valley Eye Clinic, Eau Claire County Department on Aging and Resource Center; Sacred Heart Hospital, and the Center for Health and Aging Services Excellence at UW-Eau Claire. The day is planned by community representatives committed to the interests of older adults.
