McIntyre Library to Offer Tours
the Weeks of Jan. 29 and Feb. 5

RELEASED: Jan. 19, 2007

McIntyre LibraryEAU CLAIRE — The McIntyre Library faculty invite University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire faculty, staff and students to take a short tour of the library at the start of the spring semester.

Tours will be offered during the weeks of Jan. 29 and Feb. 5 at the following times: 5:30 p.m. Mondays, 3 p.m. Tuesdays, 10 a.m. Wednesdays and noon Thursdays.

To join a tour group, meet in the Library Grand Corridor couch seating area outside the library, near the display cases.

Tours are not a substitute for library instruction, but offer members of the campus community an opportunity to explore the library's physical space and to get an overview of the services the library provides.

Tour participants will learn where to locate books and journal articles; how to ask a question online or in person; how to schedule a group study room, including those with plasma screens and other technologies; how to check out materials, including DVDs, CDs, laptops and digital cameras; and how to locate call numbers.

For more information about the tours, call the Reference Desk at 715-836-3858 or e-mail library.reference@uwec.edu. To schedule a library information literacy instruction session, contact Karen Pope at 715-836-2959 or popekj@uwec.edu, or contact the Reference Desk.
