Workshop to Be Offered on
International Exporting Opportunities

RELEASED: Jan. 8, 2007

EAU CLAIRE — "Opportunities in India," a workshop designed to help businesses learn how to profitably export products to that country, will be held Jan. 24 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Plaza Hotel in Eau Claire. Sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Small Business Development Center and Continuing Education, in collaboration with the International Division of the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, the workshop features three speakers who will address key issues in understanding how to do business with India.

UW-Eau Claire professors Rama Yelkur and Raj Aroskar will provide important background information on the government and political environment of India, highlight cultural and business issues, and discuss how they differ from western views. Mohit Uberoi, president of Megtec Systems in DePere will discuss his company's experiences in doing business with India, share insights on how his company entered the Indian market, and provide suggestions based on practical experience.

The fee for the workshop is $59. To register or obtain additional program information contact Continuing Education.
