25th Annual Regional Math Meet
Set for Feb. 17 at UW-Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire department of mathematics will host the 25th annual regional Mathematics Meet for high school students on Saturday, Feb.17.

Thirty-three teams will compete in this year's competition, representing the following high schools: Altoona, Aquinas, Black River Falls, Chippewa Falls, Durand, Ellsworth, Gilmanton, McDonell, Memorial, Menomonie, Mondovi, North, Regis, Rib Lake, Royall, Spencer, Stanley-Boyd, Tomahawk and West Salem. The event features separate competitions for small, medium and large schools, with team championships as well as individual honors. All competitors and team sponsors will receive T-shirts and certificates.

UW-Eau Claire scholarships, funded by a grant from Xcel Energy, will be awarded to the top four individual winners in each of the three divisions at an awards ceremony that will begin at 12:45 p.m. in room 100 of Hibbard Hall. In case of inclement weather, the meet will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24.
