The inviting and spacious reading room in the Special Collections area accommodates 30 researchers and offers plenty of natural light. The microfilm reader/printer, microfiche reader, and audio-video equipment are available for all to use. The reading room will also be used as a teaching space for archives and rare book instruction.

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's McIntyre Library will host a reception for faculty and staff this month to celebrate its newly renovated and relocated Special Collections area.
The reception is slated for 2-4 p.m. Feb. 16 in Special Collections' new location on the fifth floor of the library. Chancellor Brian Levin-Stankevich and Dr. Kate Lang, chair of the history department, will speak at 3 p.m.
Special Collections houses the University Archives, Area Research Center and Rare Books. It was formerly located in the Old Library.
