Area Businesses and Organizations Invited
to Learn about Advantage of Hosting Interns/Apprentices

RELEASED: Feb. 1, 2007

EAU CLAIRE — The Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Chippewa Valley Technical College and Eau Claire Area School District invite representatives of area businesses and organizations to attend an informational breakfast to learn about the advantages of hosting student interns and apprentices. The continental style breakfast and program will be offered from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the Holiday Inn Campus, 2703 Craig Road, in Eau Claire.

The program will offer testimonies from students and employers about the advantages of internships and apprenticeships, as well as helpful advice on how to arrange them. Representatives from the three educational institutions also will be on hand to help employers brainstorm what types of projects would benefit from the assistance of an intern or apprentice.

Registration is free for all members of the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce. To register, call 715-834-1204, send your name, company and phone by FAX to 715-834-1956.
