EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension will offer "Spanish Culture and Conversation for Health Care Professionals" from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 27-Dec. 6 (no class on Thanksgiving, Nov. 22), on the UW-Eau Claire campus.
The course is designed to help health care professionals better communicate with Spanish-speaking clients. Topics covered include the following:
Instructor Dale Omtvedt Gable teaches Spanish and English as a second language, as well as evening courses in Spanish for the community. She interprets frequently for Spanish speakers in local medical facilities and does Spanish/English translation for local businesses and private individuals.
