Still Time to Register for Early Birdie
Golf Outing and Support NYSP

golf club and ballEAU CLAIRE — Registration for the 2007 Early Birdie Golf Outing will remain open until Thursday, May 10. The outing is part of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's annual Rec Fest and will be held at Princeton Valley Golf Course on Friday, May 11.

The Early Birdie Outing is for golfers of all skill levels. The $25 per person fee includes nine holes, lunch, prizes and a t-shirt. Games will be held at holes for a chance to win special prizes, and one lucky winner may take home a new set of golf clubs.

Proceeds from the outing will go to support the National Youth Sports Program, an award winning program for boys and girls aged 10-16 who live in the greater Chippewa Valley. The program, in its 27th year at UW-Eau Claire, takes place on campus each summer and is run by University Recreation & Sports Facilities to provide area youth with an opportunity to learn sports skills and receive information about drugs and alcohol, nutrition, careers and higher education.
