SUBJECT: Hmong CultureFEST

The 18th annual Hmong Student Association CultureFEST will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 21 in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center.

Participants will learn about Hmong history, language, religion, gender, communication and cross-cultural issues.

The event includes food tasting, traditional Hmong music and dance, and culture workshops.

This year a special guest speaker also will attend the event. Dr. Gary Yia Lee, an Australian anthropologist and visiting scholar at Concordia, will speak and answer questions.

The event is free and open to the public.
