SUBJECT: Mock Interview Event

Employees from 17 Chippewa Valley businesses and organizations will volunteer their time this week to conduct practice job interviews with UW-Eau Claire students.

"Breaking the Ice Mock Interviews" will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, April 19, in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center.

During the mock interview event, students will spend 30 minutes with a professional from one of the businesses. The first 15 minutes will be treated as a mock job interview. The professional will treat the interview as if the student is an applicant for a real job. During the last 15 minutes, the professional will talk with the student about what they did well and what areas they may want to improve.

Chippewa Valley businesses and organizations slated to participate in the event include: Cardinal Glass, Catholic Area Schools of the Eau Claire Deanery, GSI Commerce, Luther MidelfortMayo Health System, Market & Johnson, Menards, Nestle USA, RCU, Sacred Heart Hospital, Altoona School District, Silver Spring Gardens, Target Stores, the Eau Claire Leader-Telegram, Wal-Mart, Wipfli, WQOW TV-18 and Xcel Energy.
