EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students and faculty can find an abundance of information about the opportunities to experience life in countries such as Chile, Latvia and South Africa at the Study Abroad Fair.

The fair, which is sponsored by the Center for International Education, will be held from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center. The fair will showcase study abroad programs in nearly 50 countries.

The newest program offering is the Study in Scotland program where students can choose to study at one of three different universities in Scotland. There also will be a financial aid representative at the fair to talk about financial aid for study abroad.

Returnees from each of the programs will be available to answer questions, and interested faculty also can learn about the options for teaching abroad. A free application fee will be raffled off every 15 minutes and refreshments also will be provided.

According to study abroad coordinator Colleen Marchwick, international guests from Australia, Costa Rica, Scotland, Spain, Thailand and Global Student Teaching and ISEP will discuss their programs at the Study Abroad Fair.

The Study Abroad Fair is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Marchwick at the Center for International Education, 715-836-4411 or marchwcc@uwec.edu.
