for the Week of Sept. 25

RELEASED: Sept. 15, 2006

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, Sept. 25. All events are free and open to the public.

Sunday, Oct. 1:

• Paul Kosower, professor of music, will present a cello recital at 2 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Namji Kim, assistant professor of music, will accompany Kosower on piano. The concert is set to open with Samuel Barber's Cello Sonata, Op. 6. The duo will then perform Sonata for Violoncello and Piano by Zoltan Kodaly and will conclude the concert with Sonata for Violoncello and Piano by Frank Bridge.
