University Band to Perform
Nov. 27 in Gantner Hall

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire University Band will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.

The ensemble, directed by Randal Dickerson, associate professor of music, will begin with "Gavorkna Fanfare" by Jack Stamp, followed by "Chorale & Shaker Dance" by John Zdechlik. The University Band's third selection, Johan dc Meij's "Gandalf" from "The Lord of the Rings" will feature senior Kenyon Scheurman, River Falls, as student conductor. The ensemble also will perform works by Luigi Zaninelli and Ron Nelson, concluding the concert with "Russian Sailor's Dance" by Reinhold Gliere.

Tickets, available at the University Service Center, 715-836-3727 or 800-949-UWEC, are $4 for the general public; $3 for those 62 and older and children 17 and younger; and free for faculty, staff and students with a university ID.
