Jazz II to Perform Fall Concert
Nov. 30 in Gantner Hall

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Jazz Ensemble II will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.

Jazz II, directed by Robert Baca, professor of music, will open with "Kiji Takes a Ride!" a jazz arrangement of a theme by Prokofiev, followed by "'Round Midnight" by Thelonious Monk. The first set of selections also will include works by Charlie Parker and Gordon Goodwin.

The second half of the program will begin with an arrangement of "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square" by Frank Mantooth. The final selections of the concert will be George Kleinsinger's "Tubby the Tuba Meets a Jazz Ensemble," featuring UW-Eau Claire professor of music Dr. Jerry Young on tuba, and Koehler and Bloom's "Don't Worry."

Tickets, available at the University Service Center, 715-836-3727 or 800-949-UWEC, are $4 for the general public; $3 for those 62 and older, children 17 and younger and faculty and staff with a university ID; and free for students with a university ID.
