Five UW-Eau Claire Senior Art Students
to Display Work in BFA Show

poster for BFA showEAU CLAIRE — Five candidates for University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire bachelor of fine arts degrees will display their works in a senior BFA art show. The exhibit will run Nov. 30-Dec. 15 in the Foster Gallery of the Haas Fine Arts Center. An opening reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2.

Studio art exhibits will include acrylic paintings and drawings, illustrations, jewelry, and steel and wood sculptures. The graphic design exhibit will include photography and a variety of other works.

Megan Sleeter, Wausau, said she will exhibit a variety of graphic designs influenced by different periods and designers.

Angela Walker, Eau Claire, will be displaying her jewelry and sculpture works. "I try to make work (specifically jewelry) that is innovative and yet sophisticated," Walker said. "I am interested in the combination and relationship of industry and technology within the natural environment."

Reyna Collura, Lake Geneva, will exhibit a narrative series of illustrations, along with a number of other paintings in both acrylic and watercolor.

Other exhibitors are Theo Howard, Madison, and Lindsay Walter, Altoona.

Foster Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, and 1 to 4:30 p.m. weekends. For more information about gallery exhibits, contact Foster Gallery director Tom Wagener at 715-836-2328.
