Wisconsin Entrepreneurs' Network to Be Topic
of UW-Eau Claire Alumni Association Luncheon

Let's Do Lunch postcardEAU CLAIRE — An effort to nurture Wisconsin entrepreneurs and innovators will be the topic of a Nov. 29 luncheon presentation hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Alumni Association. Pat Dillon, the northwest regional director of the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs' Network, will give a presentation from noon to 1 p.m. at Sweetwater's restaurant titled "The Wisconsin Enterpreneurs' Network: A Force for Innovation in Our State." The presentation is part of the Alumni Association's "Let's Do Lunch" series.

WEN assists entrepreneurs and innovators with researching federal funding, raising capital, technology marketing and a variety of other business issues. WEN was developed as an initiative of Gov. Jim Doyle's Grow Wisconsin Plan.

Prior to joining WEN, Dillon was executive director of Minnesota Project Innovation, where she consulted with hundreds of companies, resulting in 30 emerging high technology companies. She also was co-founder of Minnesota Seed Capital Network, an initiative to help Minnesota-based entrepreneurs raise angel and early state investment capital.

Dillon, who has 15 years of public and private sector business experience, graduated from Winona State University with master's and bachelor of science degrees in business administration.

Upcoming "Let's Do Lunch" speakers, dates and topics include: Dr. Mark Clark, UW-Eau Claire professor of foundations of education, Jan. 31: "Black Baseball and Beyond: Hank Aaron, Jackie Robinson and other Greats," and Dr. Donald Christian, dean, UW-Eau Claire College of Arts and Sciences, Feb. 28: "Liberal Education for the 21st Century: Are Universities Delivering?"
