SUBJECT: Chippewa River Walk

This afternoon UW-Eau Claire Chancellor Brian Levin-Stankevich will lead a walk along the Chippewa River to gather information about potential safety hazards and identify possible action items.

The walk will include representatives of UW-Eau Claire and the City of Eau Claire. Participants will gather in the lobby of Haas Fine Arts Center at 3 p.m. and will walk from there to Hobbs Ice Arena. The walk is expected to conclude by 5 p.m.

Levin-Stankevich organized the walk to ensure the university and city are working together to prevent tragedies such as the recent drowning of UW-La Crosse student Lucas Homan.
