Alumni Association to Recognize Outstanding Students and Scholarship Recipients at May 11 Luncheon

RELEASED: May 4, 2006

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Alumni Association will honor 15 outstanding students and scholarship recipients at an award luncheon May 11 in Davies Center.

Tracy Kleingartner, a psychology major from Bloomer, will receive the Nontraditional Student Service Outstanding Student Award.

Serena Davis, a geography major from St. Paul, Minn., will receive the Office of Multicultural Affairs Outstanding Student Award.

Tashi Namgyal from Kathmandu, Nepal, will receive the Center for International Affairs Outstanding Student Award. Namgyal is an MBA student.

Damon Campbell, a chemistry major from Elroy, will receive the College of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Student Award.

Kelly Bender, an accounting major from New London, will receive the College of Business Outstanding Student Award.

Elizabeth Bode, a social work major from New Ulm, Minn., and Bridget Prokop, an English major from Oconomowoc, will receive the College of Education and Human Sciences Outstanding Student Awards.

Elizabeth Cable, a nursing major from Eau Claire, received the College of Nursing and Health Sciences Outstanding Student Award.

Kim Aylesworth, Osseo, will receive the Graduate Studies Outstanding Student Award for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Erin Layde, Eau Claire, will receive the Graduate Studies Outstanding Student Award for the College of Education and Human Services.

Julia Welch, Hewitt/Ukraine, will receive the Graduate Studies Outstanding Student Award for the College of Business.

Traci Thomas-Card, Eau Claire, and Jennifer Stroh, Eau Claire/Lisbon, N.D., will receive Graduate Studies Outstanding Student Awards for the College of Arts and Sciences.

Two 2005-06 scholarship recipients also will be honored during the luncheon.

Lori Scardino, a chemistry major from Eau Claire, will receive the Richard E. and Jane Hibbard Scholarship.

Allison Shuda, an elementary education major from Eau Claire, will receive the Leonard and Dorellen Haas Scholarship.
