Scholarships Available for Students Seeking Funding

EAU CLAIRE — Annually the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Foundation has provided more than $1 million in scholarships and other support to UW-Eau Claire students. Most of these scholarships are awarded through academic departments. In addition, there are general scholarships that are awarded to UW-Eau Claire students meeting various criteria.
"Thanks to the generosity of our many alumni and friends, we have a wide range of scholarships," said Carole Halberg, president of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation. "This past year, we added many new scholarships. We encourage current students to check out all of our scholarships to see if they might qualify. If they do, they should apply. We do not want students to overlook funding that might be available to them."
The UW-Eau Claire Foundation recently updated award information for the 2006-07 academic year. For complete information on scholarships, the award criteria and application deadlines students can go to the Financial Aid Web page. Students also are encouraged to first check with their academic departments to determine award and application criteria.
