Selin also served for 40 years as an active adviser to Beta Upsilon Sigma, a professional business fraternity that will celebrate its 50 year anniversary in 2007. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from St. Cloud State and his doctoral degree from the University of Minnesota.
