UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education
To Offer Screen Writing Class

RELEASED: Aug. 22, 2006

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension will offer a screen writing class for individuals who want to gain a general appreciation and understanding of film, are interested in screenwriting careers, or are creative writing majors interested in specializing in screenwriting.

Classes will be held from 6:30-7:45 Tuesdays, Sept.12-Nov. 21, at the Haas Fine Arts Center on the UW-Eau Claire campus.

Wil Denson, recently retired professor of theatre, is the instructor. He directed the University theatre program for five years and was director of the UW-Eau Claire Summer Theatre for 25 seasons. An award-winning writer, Denson has written over 20 plays and several television and radio scripts and films. Eight of his plays have been published and 19 have been produced throughout the United States and abroad.

Participants can attend for personal enrichment or one undergraduate or graduate credit. Non-credit tuition is $185; one undergraduate credit is $231.08; one graduate credit is $364.76. Class size is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
