RELEASED: April 24, 2006
EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's online sign-up process for the fall 2006 meal plan will begin Monday, May 1.
All campus residents (except those living in Chancellors Hall) are required to participate in a meal plan each semester. Six meal plans are available. If a plan is not chosen by the deadline of Friday, Sept. 8, the student will be assigned a 7 Meal Plan.
The 7 Meal Plan ($1,001) gives the student the security of having seven meals guaranteed each week throughout the semester. Dining in the two contract service cafeterias affords the best value, but transfer meals and transfer credits are available in most campus dining locations. The 7 Meal Plan also provides a moderate amount ($185) of meal plan dollars, which can be used in all campus dining areas.
Five other meal plans are available for the fall semester:
Each meal plan has its advantages and disadvantages, and students should select a plan based upon their schedule and dining habits. Plans cannot be changed after the sign-up deadline.
More information about the meal plan is available from Gary Prellwitz, director of dining services, (715) 836-2716, and the Service Center in Davies Center's east lobby.
UW-Eau Claire's dining services program is administered by University Centers and Programs.
