SUBJECT: UW-Eau Claire to Host National Forensics Tournament April 14-17
The UW-Eau Claire forensics organization will host the National Forensics Association tournament April 14-17.
The national tournament — one of the nation's premier forensics events — is expected to bring between 800 and 1,000 participants and judges to UW-Eau Claire's campus.
Tournament activities will begin at 7:45 a.m. and end at about 7:30 p.m. each day, with events taking place in Davies Center and Schneider, Phillips and Hibbard halls.
UW-Eau Claire has participated in every National Forensic Association's tournament since its inception.
To help ensure the tournament's success, alumni and friends of UW-Eau Claire's forensics organization have committed more than $10,000 to the project. See a related news release from September 2005.
For more information, contact Karen Morris, director of the forensics program, (715) 836-3305 or morriskr@uwec.edu.
