EAU CLAIRE — The Eau Claire area and University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire campus communities are invited to a special Latino lunch in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
"Sabor Latino" — a celebration of Latino foods — is set for 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Sept. 29 in the Dulany Inn of Davies Center.
"We're encouraging people from the community to come to campus to help us celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs Sept. 15-Oct. 15," Stephanie Zighelboim, of UW-Eau Claire's Multicultural Affairs Office. "The lunch celebration will be a fun event and will feature wonderful food. We're hoping to attract a mix of students, faculty, staff and people in the community."
Among the Latino foods on the menu are an avocado salad, beef fajitas, arroz con pollo, paella croquettes, pico de gallo and fresh fruit.
The lunch will be $7.25 per person. Reservations are recommended. Reservations are available by calling (715) 836-5261.
