Lieutenant Governor to Discuss Women's and Environmental Initiatives at UW-Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE — Lieutenant Governor Barbara Lawton will discuss her Wisconsin Women Equal Prosperity Initiative at a special Monday offering of Women on Wednesdays. The brown bag lunch presentation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Later the same day, from 3-4 p.m. in Davies Theatre, Lawton also will discuss Gov. Doyle's environmental initiatives. This event is sponsored by the department of geography and anthropology.

The WOW event is sponsored by Women in Higher Education, American Association of University Women-Eau Claire, UW-Eau Claire Commission on the Status of Women, women's studies program, Interim Provost and Vice Chancellor Steven Tallant and the Office of Academic Affairs, Associate Vice Chancellor Kimberly Barrett and the Office of Student Development and Diversity.

Both events are free and open to the public.
