Media Memo: Eau Claire Bus Tours – Sept. 10

RELEASED: Sept. 8, 2005

EAU CLAIRE — UW-Eau Claire will host its first "See E.C." bus tours Saturday, Sept. 10, to help introduce new and continuing students to the Eau Claire community.

The tours — complete with tour guides — will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the last bus leaving campus at 3 p.m. Buses will depart on the hour from Towers Hall on upper campus or the corner of Park and Garfield on lower campus. Riders will be welcome to get on and off buses at various locations.

The free tours will include trips around key areas of Eau Claire, making stops at places like Oakwood Mall, downtown Eau Claire, Carson Park, Chippewa Valley Museum/Paul Bunyan Logging Camp and Mt. Simon Park. The tour also will include historic neighborhoods, Phoenix Park and recreation areas, such as biking and walking trails.
