Musical Events for the Week of Nov. 7

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, Nov. 7. All events are free and open to the public.
Wednesday, Nov. 9:
- Senior Claire (Blauvelt) Johnson, Waukesha, will present a piano and organ recital at 5 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. The recital will begin with Carl Czerny's Allegretto vivace on piano, followed by "Spring Games and Dances" by Dmitri Kabalevsky. Johnson also will feature pieces by Beethoven, Francis Poulenc and Bach. She will close with an organ selection by Dietrich Buxtehude.
